Marjina Haque is a staff writer. When she’s not, she can be found deconstructing history for herself, reading good books or the entire Love and Rockets comic series (again) or watching movies. Her favorite directors are Satyajit Ray and Luis Bunuel. She works at Goodwill but she really wants to work at Trader Joe’s. She’s intent on becoming a social worker and getting her doctorate in social work as well. Besides that, her goals are to get full sleeves, learn more languages, and visit her parents’ home countries. She wants to contribute to a world that provides a safe space for women and femmes of color and successfully combats institutional violence. For now, she’s just out here brewing tea with cardamom and figuring out if she should eat out or get a laptop.
