Isaac Herrera, Opinion Editor

Isaac Herrera is in his first year on staff as the Opinion Editor for The Pearl Post. He is in his junior year and serves as the National Honor Society Secretary. His goal for this year is to venture outside his comfort zone to establish connections with the voices of students on campus. Outside of school, he volunteers at his local library and improves his culinary skills.

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and actors represented by SAG-AFTRA brought their demands to the attention of big-name studios through a strike. The results of the strike will impact these entertainers’ wages, their job security and upcoming productions. While the WGA reached a deal on Sept. 24 and ended the writer’s strike on Sept. 27, SAG-AFTRA continues to strike to meet performers’ needs.
