Valerie Sanchez is this year’s Entertainment Editor. This is her first year being on The Pearl Post. She hopes to continue her journalism journey and make sure that other student’s voices are heard. After school, she is known as a 10th grade school ambassador. During her free time, she listens to music, goes to concerts and edits many things such as websites. She hopes to express herself and bring attention to student’s voices and opinions.

Senior Maksymilian Arbatskyi sings “Обійми” ("Hold Me") by Океан Ельзи (Okean Elzy) during the World Music Day concert on Nov. 15. This year’s World Music Day concert was held on Nov. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the MPR for students, staff and families to enjoy. Arbatskyi dedicated this performance to the children in Ukraine in hopes that the war would soon end.

Students walked out of their sixth period on Sept. 23 to protest for the reinstatement of their teachers following the displacement of music teacher Wes Hambright and Spanish teacher Glenda Hurtado. Students demanded the return of both teachers' positions, as without them, their respective departments would shut down.
