Today, students and faculty participated in the sixth annual Great Shakeout, a state-wide earthquake drill held every October in California. The drill is meant to raise awareness about the very real danger of earthquakes in the state. During the drill, students and teachers filed out into the school’s parking lot, where the adults practiced their earthquake response and the students sat around, waiting for the drill to end so that they could escape the sweltering sun.
