In the September issue of Los Angeles Magazine, DPMHS was ranked as number 40 in the top 75 Los Angeles high schools (private and public). The list was compiled by taking the total number of Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate tests/classes given and divided by the number of seniors who graduated, instead of the traditional rankings that go by SAT/ACT scores.
Taking into consideration that DPMHS has only six AP classes due to limited teachers, its an honor to be on the list, out of the thousands of school in LA. In the 2013-2014 school year, seniors had a 100% graduation rate, making DPMHS the only school in the Los Angeles Unified School District who can say that.
