For those who are still unhappy with the traffic situation in the front of the school, know that it will end.
However, it is unknown when it will end. Last year, Stage One of a project to improve the traffic in the driveway was completed, resulting in more signs and a pedestrian walkway in the driveway bordering the school on the north side.
However, since Stage One was completed last spring, nothing much has happened on with the project. According to Principal Deb Smith, the project has not been abandoned but is just moving in “ways (the school) can’t see.”
Part of the reason that the project has slowed down is due to a change in management. Smith reported that the traffic issue has a new Project Manager who has to catch up with where the project is at now before it can go forward.
“We are trying to set up a meeting (with the traffic team) to find the project’s timetable and end date,” Smith said.
