Sophomore tennis player Joseph Mousaed practices every day at Birmingham Community Charter High School to develop his skills to get to the Ojai Tournament.

Mousaed used to play golf last year when he was a freshman. As a sophomore, he joined the boy tennis team where he didn’t know how to play but he practiced a lot while trying to manage school work.

“Joseph picked up a lot when he started tennis in August,” teammate Jozef Feher said.

When Mousaed was a teachers assistant in the fall semester for girls tennis, he watched the girls tennis team play and developed an interest for the sport. He then decided to try something new.

“I like to play tennis better,” Mousaed said.
