Students and families are invited to attend this year’s “Holly-Jolly Holiday” concert for an evening of holiday music and cheer. The concert is being held on Dec. 8 in the MPR at 7 p.m.
“I am expecting the students to have a lot of fun performing,” music teacher Wes Hambright said. “It’s come along really fast because of World Music Day so I am expecting the kids just to have fun with the music and not worry about messing up and for them to sing their hearts out, play their hearts out and have fun.”
The concert will include a variety of holiday music including songs such as “Feliz Navidad” by José Feliciano, “Snow On The Beach” by Taylor Swift and “Sweater Weather” by The Neighborhood.
“I think you should expect very good music because I really like our set list and there are a lot of good songs,” said sophomore Abraam Grigorian, who is organizing and performing in the event. “All of them are well known so you can sing along with them too.”
The MPR will be decorated for the concert with lights and Christmas decorations. The concert will be livestreamed, giving students and parents the option to watch from home. Musicians are excited to perform and showcase their talents.
“I am really excited to finally perform because I didn’t get to last year and to just be with my friends and be able to have the opportunity to jam out with them which is always fun,” said junior Leeron Nakash, who will perform “Wonderful Christmas Time” by Paul McCartney, “Please Come Home for Christmas” by Eagles and “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson.
