From Sept. 5 to Sept. 8, students and staff showed how creative they could get with school spirit by participating in Spirit Week. Each day was given a theme, such as Barbie vs. Ken Day and Anything But a Backpack Day. The week was meant to lead up to the Homecoming Dance originally scheduled for the night of Sept. 8. However, the dance was postponed to a later date.

Francesca Sisk, Staff Writer
Francesca Sisk is currently a junior and a staff writer for The Pearl Post. She hopes to maintain her straight A’s this school year and really lean into things she must do in order to get into her dream college, California Institute of Technology. Another goal of hers is to find creative outlets she enjoys and actually make time for them. Although she likes to talk and socialize (a lot), Francesca appreciates the little moments she has to herself when she can gather her thoughts and reset.

Donovan Ochoa, Staff Writer
Donovan Ochoa is excited for his 11th grade year and his first year on the DPMHS Student Media staff as a staff writer. He hopes to improve his writing skills, learn how to communicate better with others and step outside his comfort zone.
