Hot summertime films to look out for

As the school year ends, students are able to enjoy and see the most anticipated movies in summer.
June 7:
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Peter Parker played by Tom Holland is back, this time he is on a school trip to Europe where he encounters Mysterio, played by American actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Nick Fury, depicted by “Pulp Fiction” star Samuel Jackson, and Maria Hill also make an appearance and try to recruit Peter Parker. Marvel Cinematic Universe executives have noted that the movie takes place “minutes” after “Avengers: Endgame.” The film will be released on June 7.
Dark Phoenix
Jean Grey, better known as Phoenix played by “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turns her into Dark Phoenix. The X-men group is then faced to make a decision if the life of a new member is worth more than all the people living in the world. The movie “Dark Phoenix” comes out in theaters on June 7.
Late Night
Katherine Newbury, played by Emma Thompson, is a late night talk show host, who is later questioned of why she only hires white males and no females. The British actress was famous for her role as “Nanny Mcphee” and appearance in the Disney Movie “Saving Mr. Banks.” Just the trailer alone promises audiences everywhere to keep them laughing. “Late Night” will release in theaters on June 7.
June 14:
Men in Black: International
Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth join in “Men in Black: International” to deliver charismatic performances. Released on June 14, “Men in Black: International” takes place in London and deals with shape-shifting aliens that threaten the Earth’s security.
June 21:
Toy Story 4
Woody voiced by Tom Hanks and the Toy Story group are joined by a new friend “Forky”. The new addition to the group is voiced by comedian and actor, Tony Hale. when they get stranded away from their owner, Bonnie. The final chapter of the “Toy Story” series comes out June 21.
Child’s Play
Horror-filled “Child’s Play” a mother gives her son a toy doll not knowing the sinful nature behind the doll. Chucky is voiced by Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker and voiced the Joker in various Batman movies. In theaters on June 21, “Child’s Play” can offer the horror that viewers can anticipate this summer.
June 27:
Annabelle Comes Home
Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren played by Patrick Warren and Vera Farmiga brings a possessed doll to keep safe in a room filled with artifacts in their home. When the doll awakens all evil that lurks in the room, the target is their young daughter as well as her friends. Check out “Annabelle Comes Home” on June 27.
July 19:
The Lion King
The live-action recreation of “The Lion King” comes out July 19. Directed by Jon Favreau, the live-action is a recreated story of the beloved animated tale that many watched growing up. The cast stars Donald Glover who plays Simba, James Earl Jones has returned to play Mufasa. Disney has also cast Beyonce, to play Nala.
July 26:
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
A faded television star and his stunt double, played by Leonardo Dicaprio and James Marsden, strive to achieve success and fame in the industry of film during the final years of Hollywood of the Golden Age in 1969. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is released on July 26.
August 2:
Hobbs and Shaw
The movie stars Dwayne Johnson as Lawman Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham as outcast Deckard Shaw. They form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity. “Hobbs and Shaw” is a comedy and an action-packed movie which will be released in theaters on August 2.
