Dj Khaled has released many great albums, but late May release “Father of Asahd” is by far one of his best.

In 2017, Khaled Mohamed Khaled hit No. 1 on American music charts with “I’m The One” featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne. In that same year, his tenth studio “Grateful” album became his second number one rated album. With the attention, this newest album is getting it seems as though it will follow “Grateful” and become DJ Khaled’s third No. 1 album.

May 17 release “Father of Ashad” gives off a very empowering vibe. It begins with a song called “Holy Mountain” featuring Buju Banton, Sizzla, Mavado and 070 Shake. This song is a perfect mix of traditional Jamaican rap and modern day rap. Though this album exudes jovial, positive vibes, Cardi B and 21 Savage’s “Wish Wish” cheapens the record. The incomprehensible lyrics on Cardi’s verse sound forced and temporarily kills the record’s positive energy.

The 55 minute-long record also includes features from artists like John Legend, Meek Mill, SZA and the late Nipsey Hussle.  The album already has six music videos on Youtube which collectively have over 277 million views. One of them, titled “You Stay” featuring Meek Mill, J Balvin, Lil Baby and Jeremih, is currently trending on the YouTube trending page.

Altogether, “Father of Asahd” is an album worth listening to. From its lively beats to its inspiring lyrics, fans everywhere can only anticipate another project as good in the near future.
