Athlete of the Month: Sepehr Kordbacheh

Q: Why did you decide to join water polo?

A: I was a swimmer since I was three years old and I was a club swimmer so I was like why not water polo too?

Q: Who introduced you to water polo?

A: My swim coach.

Q: What is the most challenging part of water polo?

A: The most challenging part are the practices. They’re pretty difficult. You need to push to get better. It’s very hard.

Q: How long have you been playing?

A: For two years.

Q: What position do you play?

A: I’m varsity wing.

Q:Do you plan to continue playing water polo for the rest of high school?

A: No, this is my last year. This is the only year that we’re really good. Next year we’re not going to be that good so it’s a waste of time. I’ll focus on schooling more.

Q: What do you like about water polo?

A: It’s an aggressive sport so I really like it.

Q: What goals do you have for this season?

A: Winning the championship and making it for state games.
