During winter break, many feel like their life is passing by them and must get out of bed and go out. Here are a few affordable activities to do.

Ice Skating- $13

In the valley, the hot weather prevents people from genuinely getting a winter experience. Ice skating rinks such as Iceland Ice Skating Center and LA Kings Valley Ice Center are as close as it gets.

The Broad- Free

The Board in downtown Los Angeles is a fairly new museum with free admission. But be sure to get advance tickets.

Rose Parade Showcase- $13

After watching the Rose Parade along Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on Jan. 2, start the new year right and join many as they see the delicately decorated floats up close and personal along Sierra Madre and Washington boulevards.
