Comedy and vlogging have never gone together as well as in Matthias’ videos.

Matthew Fredrick, otherwise known by his channel name Matthias, is a full-time YouTube personality whose videos focus around vlogs, challenges, collaborations and even music videos. He has worked with other famous YouTubers like Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, and also runs the channel Team Edge alongside his brother, J-Fred.

Fredrick began his channel under the name Matthiasiam on Aug. 10, 2011. The first videos shown on his channel include covers, mashups and parodies of popular songs. Later, Fredrick branched out into areas like vlogs, comedy shorts and gaming.

Some of Fredrick’s most popular video series include humorous segments of him reading fan comments, autocorrect fails and photoshop fails. He even has videos in which he reads his old childhood diary.

Before beginning his YouTube career, Fredrick graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Audio Engineering. He has also directed 12 short films and produced 14.

Fredrick is married to fellow YouTuber Amanda Fayes, whom he has a daughter with. He also runs the vlog channel Matt and Amanda with her. His main channel currently has more than a million subscribers, nearly 500 videos and more than 272 million video views.
