“Sleepless in Seattle” stars Tom Hanks as Seattle resident Sam Baldwin, who has just lost his wife. Meg Ryan is a reporter on the East Coastwho hears Baldwin’s son Jonah on a radio show talk about how he wants his son to find a partner. This movie has a love at first sight feel, which will have anyone laughing at this strange twist on romance. It’s romantic, sweet and perfect for the season.
“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” stars Kate Hudson as Andie Anderson, an advice columnist for a woman’s magazine and Matthew McConaughey as Benjamin Barry, an advertising executive who both are challenged to a 10-day bet. Andie must meet a guy and lose him in 10 days. Meanwhile Ben has to make a woman fall in love with him. They meet and don’t know they are each other’s victims. This movie will have anyone laughing.
“50 First Dates,” starring Adam Sandler as Henry and Drew Barrymore as Lucy, has its fair share of romance and laugh-out-loud comedy. Henry, a ladies man, that is until he meets darling Lucy. Adam Sandler is known for his comedy movies, but this isn’t a regular comedy. However, the movie is quite the tearjerker with moments of sadness and hilarity.
“Pretty Woman” starring Julia Roberts as Vivian and Richard Gere as Edward is a surprising romantic movie with a twisted plot. What’s supposed to be only a weekend with a prostitute, Vivian, turns out to be much longer as feelings for each other develop. This movie is quirky but has a love story that’s hard to forget. From Hollywood Boulevard. to the Beverly Center, this movie is filled with surprises and a romantic ending.
