Last Friday, millions of “Zoey 101” fans were left speechless after finally discovering what Zoey Brooks said about Chase Matthews in the time capsule from an episode ten years ago.

“Zoey 101” was a beloved teen drama series that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005-2008. It was one of the most popular children’s shows of its time and many teenagers still love it now.

When TeenNick tweeted about fans finally being able to find out what Zoey had said about Chase, there were many responses all over Twitter expressing excitement for the short video.

Later that night, while everybody was patiently waiting, the time had finally come. Once 8:30 came around, everyone was on the edge of their seats, ready for the next five minutes.

The episode “Time Capsule” from 2005 had the students of PCA place things in a time capsule that would be retrieved after 20 years. Throughout the episode, Chase (Sean Flynn) tries to find out what Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears) said about him in her video because he has a major crush on her.

Frustrated with Chase, Zoey tells him that she won’t disclose any information to him and that he has to wait 10 years before he can find anything out.

Ten years from that episode brought us to Sept. 18 when creator Dan Schneider shared with the world what Zoey said about Chase in her video.

When the video starts, you aren’t able to see the faces of the characters in the scene. Once the camera pulls up, viewers were surprised to see a mature Chase Matthews propose to another girl.

Chase is interrupted by his Pacific Coast Academy friend Michael Barret (Christopher Massey) who tells him that he flew to Los Angeles and dug up the time capsule from season two of the show.
