Super heroes and dinosaurs come to life on the big screen this summer
May 29, 2015
With summer ahead and free time to look forward to, theaters will be packed with people eager for new blockbusters.
Most people watched “Jurassic Park” movies as children. Now 22 years later in the Jurassic Park universe, the island of Isla Nublar is host to “Jurassic World,” a theme park full of attractions with dinosaurs that has been lacking visitors for 10 years.
As a way for “Jurassic World” to gain visitors, the park opens a new attraction that comes with the consequences. It has been 14 years since the release of the last “Jurassic Park” movie and the idea for the film was created by Steven Spielberg and Mark Protosevich. The movie comes to theaters on June 12.
“Ant-Man,” the next super hero based off Marvel Comics, will be released on July 17. Scott Lang must hide his super strength, shrinking ability and his Ant-Man suit. This is done with the help of his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, who also helps him save the world. The character of Ant-Man will be played by Paul Rudd and Dr. Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas.
After the movie adaptation of John Green’s bestselling novel “The Fault In Our Stars” brought success, anticipation has grown for his next book adaption. Yet another Green novel will be projected on movie screens starting July 24. “Paper Towns” is a coming-of-age story based around Quentin played by Nat Wolff and his mystery loving neighbor, Margo, played by supermodel Cara Delevingne. Another superhero movie that has been anticipated is “Fantastic Four.” Hitting theaters on Aug. 7, the Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing and the Human Torch will be back in the re-imagining of Marvel’s superhero team.
The four must learn to adapt and use their new abilities for good when they experience physical alterations after they teleport to an alternate universe. They must use their new powers to protect the Earth. Kate Mara plays the Invisible Woman, Miles Teller plays Mr. Fantastic, Jamie Bell plays the Thing and Michael B. Jordan plays the Human Torch.
No matter which movie, all will be satisfied by the feeling of sitting back and not having to worry about a school assignment.
